Directions

The Library of Virginia, 800 East Broad Street, Richmond. 804-692-3500

From Interstate 95 (from the North or from the South): Take Exit 74C. A highway sign will say Library of Virginia. Proceed west on Broad Street, the Library of Virginia will be on your right.

From Interstate 64 West (coming from Williamsburg direction): Take the exit for Fifth Street and the Coliseum. Turn left on Marshall Street a few blocks (past the Coliseum on your left) after you exit Interstate 64. Proceed to 8th Street, the Library of Virginia is at the corner of 8th and Marshall.

From Interstate 64 East (coming from Charlottesville direction): Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 74C. See instructions above for I-95.

Parking

We have been asked not to park in the Library of Virginia parking deck on Friday, as space is limited and reserved for patrons. However, we may park in the deck on Saturday. For Friday's parking, there are several public parking lots nearby, for a map please click here. Please note that the lot marked at 8th and Franklin is now closed.

Directions to suggested lots from 800 East Broad Street:

• St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Deck
  Southeast corner of 8th and East Grace Streets
  $3.00/hour (or any portion thereof) after 9:00a.m. Early Bird Special: $7.00/day, if in before 9:00a.m.
  Turn left (south) on 8th St., and go straight for 1.5 blocks. Turn left into parking deck, just past the intersection of 8th  and East Grace Sts.
  
• The 700 Center Deck
  Southwest corner of 8th and East Grace Streets
  $3.00/hour after 10:00a.m. Early Bird Special: $6.00/day, if in before 10:00a.m.
  Turn left (south) on 8th St., and go straight for 1.5 blocks. Turn right into parking deck, just past the intersection of 8th and East Grace Sts.
  
• Central Parking Deck (behind The Marriott Hotel)
  Northeast corner of 5th and Marshall Streets
  $3.00/hour after 9:00a.m. Early Bird Special: $7.00/day, if in before 9:00a.m.
  Go three blocks west on East Broad St. to 3rd St. and turn right. Go one block north to East Marshall St. and turn right. Go three blocks straight on East Marshall St. and turn left into deck, just past intersection of 5th and East Marshall Sts.
